Greetings ~

In the past, we went to the auto parts store to get the parts we needed to fix our cars and trucks. That was about all the parts places were good for. But today, we go to get parts for our vehicles plus to look for parts to make furniture.
The new trend is making our homes appear like our cars. We have found that pieces of automobiles can be enjoyed hanging from a wall or standing in the corner just as much as being driven on the street.
A few years ago, some artists worked with car parts to create art objects and they caught the eye of the general public. Now some figured that these "art pieces" came be developed into everyday furniture and accent décor and the trend is surely catching on.
Prowling around in junk yards are now the weekend field trips that we long for. Finding that rear view mirror, trunk lid and those old rusty rims can make your bathroom and kitchen come alive.
This blog shows what can be done with those steering wheels, carburetors, radiators, seats, bumpers and grills from that old Studebaker or Mazda that's in your back yard. So grab your socket wrench set and that cutting torch. We've got work to do!
